Sending & receiving
How you pack and post your cards makes the difference between a happy trader and a dispute. Here are the basics.
Packing your cards
- Always sleeve the card first (penny sleeve or better).
- Use a toploader or semi-rigid for anything LP or better. Double-sleeve high-value cards.
- Wrap in bubble wrap or between two pieces of stiff cardboard — marked DO NOT BEND.
- If posting multiple cards, keep them separated so they can't shuffle into each other.
Tracked vs standard post
Tracked shipping is strongly recommended for any card worth more than a few pounds. If a parcel goes missing without tracking, neither party can prove delivery.
Agreeing on postage
You and your trade partner agree on postage during negotiation. Usually each person pays their own outbound postage — but that's up to you both.
When your cards arrive
Check the condition against the listing before confirming receipt. If there's a significant discrepancy, don't confirm — open a dispute from the trade page first.
International trades
International shipping is allowed but carries extra risk (customs, longer transit, harder to track). Make sure both parties agree and factor in potential delays.
